Let's talk union 101. A discussion that asks workers to share their experiences, questions, and concerns. This will be a good group discussion about what it would mean to unionize in games, how that fixes some things, what can't be fixed by unionization alone, etc. What are the core issues? As a group, participants of this roundtable will discuss and decide on what the core issues facing the industry's workers are.
Participants will leave with a better understanding of why and how unions can be formed in the game industry, what the set of common goals are, and what the strategy for unionization will be, as an international working class.
All game developers are welcome to discuss and learn about the movement to unionize the games industry. The conversation is open to people with any level of understanding about organized labor, newcomers are welcome. But folks should come ready to brainstorm about the practical realities of building unions and how the goal an be accomplished best.
