In this session, King’s lead Narrative Designer in Stockholm will break down best practices in user experience design and their application to storytelling in games. Topics will include affordances and signifiers in storytelling, accessibility, emotional player journeys, personas, validation, and documentation.
Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how storytelling can enhance and guide the player experience, along with concrete examples of how to validate and document their design choices concerning narrative.
This talk is intended for UX and game designers that are interested in expanding their storytelling toolset, and for narrative developers that wish to be more player-centric in their design processes.
