Description: Women In Game Audio Round Tables is a tradition in the Audio track where seasoned women alongside their junior colleagues offer insight and discuss topics ranging from skill sets in sound design, audio and composition, to all career questions. Topics will include studio team culture, tips on work-life balance, professional growth, in-house vs. freelancing, leadership and decision-making (for instance, how does one get hired on a job), continually expanding one's skill sets, daily workflow, collaborative skills, a competitive portfolio, demo-ing.... The presenters will answer all questions by the attendees, and will give invaluable tools, career tips and insight to women and marginalized genders helping them cultivate thriving careers in game audio, both in-house and as freelancers.
Open to attendees of all levels, the round table's objective is to give a wealth of practical career advice and guidance to women and marginalized genders, to create an awareness of the professional journeys of audio women, to frame the conversations in empowering ways, and to give the attendees an opportunity to ask career questions.
Sound designers, composers and audio professionals of all levels, with focus on emerging professionals. All are welcome to attend.
