Allen AdhamCo-Founder & Chief Design OfficerBlizzard Entertainment

As Co-Founder & Chief Design Officer of Blizzard Entertainment, Allen Adham is responsible for overseeing game design across the company’s multiple award-winning franchises including Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, Hearthstone, and Overwatch, as well as new games in development. In this role, he helps multiple teams shape their design vision while maintaining the gameplay standards for which Blizzard is renowned. In February 1991, Allen co-founded Blizzard Entertainment with Mike Morhaime and Frank Pearce, serving as the company’s first president and later chairman. Adham provided executive and design leadership on the company’s first games, helping to build the industry-leading Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo gaming universes. This included overseeing the creation of World of Warcraft from inception through its first five years of development, as well as serving as lead designer, prior to his departure from the company in 2004. After Blizzard, Adham founded Tenfold Capital, a quantitative hedge fund where he served as the managing director for 13 years, before his passion for gaming brought him back home to Blizzard in 2016. Adham earned a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1990.
