Javier Barnes is a Senior Product Manager at Tilting Point, one of the fastest growing free-to-play publishers in the world. Previously, he was Lead Game Designer on the top grossing mobile game Monster Legends, Game Economy Director for Gameloft Montreal, as well as Game Economy and Systems Designer for top grossing mobile hits such as Despicable Me: Minion Rush and Asphalt 8: Airborne, among many others. Additionally, he has also worked as a design consultant for game developers such as The Irregular Corporation and Beautiful Glitch, as well as for companies that provide game services such as UserWise and TheoremReach. He currently writes about in-game economy at jb-dev.net, and has been a featured author for the Deconstructor of Fun newsletter, Gamasutra, Iron Source, Elite Game Developers, UserWise Academy and other media. As a speaker, he is a regular collaborator on PocketGamer Connect, and he was also in charge of the 2020 Game Design Masterclass at PocketGamer.
