Born and raised in New Caledonia, Phil has a background in cinema and 3D animation. He teamed up with childhood friend Thierry Boura in 2016, when they founded Awaceb and launched the 2D platformer Fossil Echo as a 2-person team. In 2018, they started building a team to work on a much more ambitious project inspired by their homeland, the tropical open-world adventure Tchia.
