Thandrie Davis (they/them) is an award-winning designer, producer, entrepreneur, writer, and director in the game industry. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA in 1975, Thandrie began making games at age four, and playing them competitively at age eleven, and never stopped. They attended the University of Southern California for three semesters, before leaving early to launch a video game news and reviews website, Intelligent Gamer Online, in partnership with the Los Angeles Times in 1995. In 1996, they moved to the other side of the business, creating the award-winning online word game Acrophobia, and they've been making games professionally ever since. In 2019, they received a Master of Science in Game Design and Development degree from the University of Limerick. Thandrie's games have generally focused on trading card games, both digital and physical. They were a leading player of the first digital TCG, Chron X, joining the development team during its first year and eventually buying the property from THQ in 2003. They codesigned Ultimate Teams for EA in 2006, the first TCG on game consoles, and was the lead designer of Gods Unchained in 2020, the premiere strategy TCG on the Ethereum blockchain. They live in New South Wales in Australia, working on an unannounced trading card game.
