Nils Deneken is the founder of Copenhagen-based studio Die Gute Fabrik, where he worked as the studio lead, art director, and creative director. He worked on critically acclaimed games like B.U.T.T.O.N., Where is my Heart? and Mutazione. His work has been shown at the IGF, Gamma 4, Indiecade, Babycastles, MoMA, SF MoMA, Victoria and Albert Museum, Amaze and Roskilde Festival. Nils was born (1979) and raised in Germany, where he studied visual communication in Essen and relocated to Denmark in 2006. After a student IGF nomination in for his game Rückblende, Nils founded Die Gute Fabrik and co-founded the Copenhagen Game Collective. Now that Mutazione has been released, Nils takes a step back from the studio lead position. Instead he wants to focus on family life and art direction for future projects of Die Gute Fabrik. He lives and works remotely on Bornholm, Denmark.
