Lionel is a Technical Director at Asobo Studio. Among other things, at Asobo Studio he worked on two of the launch titles for Microsoft Hololens, participating in the creation of the first holographic videogames. Since 2016 he has been leading a team of engineers to create and improve the technology for Microsoft Flight Simulator, focusing on recreating a digital twin of the Earth, platform integration, game development pipelines and distribution pipelines. His interests vary between game asset and production pipelines, rendering, optimization, machine learning, team management and problem solving in general. He is also an piano and guitar enthusiast.
