Born in Pisa, Italy, Daniele completed his Master's in computer engineering in Pisa in 2010. After a brief time working in VR research at a university spin-off in Pisa (PERCRO Labs), Daniele joined Havok (well known for physics middleware in games) in Dublin, Ireland, working on core library systems. He then moved to San Francisco still with Havok and worked as a Sr. Developer Relations Engineer to aid AAA customers like Bungie and Bethesda build amazing games. In October 2016 Daniele joined 343 Industries, working on core simulation and gameplay systems. Currently, Daniele covers the role of Game Foundation Architect at 343 Industries, with a focus on game performance and memory optimization, and providing continued technical guidance to all game teams building systems for Halo games.
