Michael is a senior gameplay engineer on Overwatch 2. Originally from Virginia, he started his career in web development and began building an indie game with a friend to gain experience in game development. That game was ultimately completed and released on Steam as Formicide, a competitive multiplayer class-based shooter. During that time, he landed a job at Blizzard as a tools engineer on Heroes of the Storm, eventually transitioning into gameplay engineering. In 2019, he joined the Overwatch 2 team as a gameplay engineer, where he focuses on elements with a heavy emphasis on game and visual smoothness, including camera work and hero development support.
