Jason Grinblat, Creative Head & Co-Founder, Freehold Games
Jason Grinblat is the cofounder and creative head at Freehold Games, the tiny studio behind Sproggiwood and Caves of Qud. His jams include offbeat science fiction settings, emergent narrative, baroque prose, and the simulation of fictional histories. He has written and spoken extensively about each of these topics and how he brings them together in his design practice. Caves of Qud is nominated for three awards at IGF 2025: Excellence in Narrative, Excellence in Design, and the Seumas McNally Grand Prize.
