Jonathan Hamel has been designing and programming games professionally since the mid-90s and has helped teach the Game Design Workshop at GDC since 2004. Career highlights include What Remains of Edith Finch (winner of Best Game at the 2018 BAFTAs and Best Gameplay at Games for Change); Lone Echo (Best VR/AR Game last year at GDC and D.I.C.E.); the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot, and its sequel Rise of the Tomb Raider. He co-wrote The Postman Always Brings Mice and two other Stink Files novels with Jennifer L. Holm and produced online games at Sesame Street Online. Jonathan is currently Lead Designer on an unannounced project at Ready at Dawn.
