Hannes Heikinheimo, Voice Safety Lead, Roblox
Hannes Heikinheimo is a seasoned technology leader with over a decade of experience specializing in AI-driven voice moderation, natural language processing, and real-time voice interfaces. As the Voice Chat Safety Lead at Roblox, he spearheads cutting-edge solutions to ensure safe and positive real-time communication experiences for millions of users. Before joining Roblox, Hannes co-founded and served as CTO of Speechly (Y Combinator Winter '22), where he pioneered low-latency, streaming voice recognition and natural language understanding technology. Holding a PhD in machine learning, he has a proven track record of driving large-scale AI/ML innovations at companies such as Apple, Rovio, and Nokia. His expertise spans speech processing, recommendation engines, predictive modeling, and large-scale data pipeline design. At GDC, Hannes will share insights into Roblox's advancements in real-time voice chat moderation, discussing the challenges, technologies, and solutions behind AI-driven content moderation in online gaming.
