Vanessa Hemovich, Professor of Psychology, Digipen Institute of Technology
Vanessa Hemovich (Ph.D.) is a Professor of Psychology at the DigiPen Institute of Technology. Over the last 23 years, she has successfully taught a wide range of introductory and upper-division psychology courses on cognitive neuroscience, group dynamics, research methods, user testing, and U/X. Her research and education emphasizes fMRI and neuroimaging applications to various socio-cognitive phenomena, which has included a visiting fellowship with the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at Harvard University. With over two dozen peer-reviewed publications and more than 30 professional and academic conference presentations, she is currently pursuing research on cognitive load as a predictive factor for pro-social behavior in competitive FPS video games.
