Julija Jeremic has Ph.D. in Educational Technology and Learning Design from Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, Canada. Her doctoral thesis explores the position of social issues in video game education and her academic focus is on the ethics of technology, how to improve the education of future technology developers, and empower these developers to create socially conscious technologies . Julija also is also a member of the leadership of the IGDA Game Education Special Interest Group working on the development of the new video game curriculum framework that will be socially and culturally sensitive and inclusive. Aside from that, she works as Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Curriculum Developer at Vantage Point.
