Shawn Kittelsen is currently Vice President of Creative Development for Skybound Games, where he develops games based on blockbuster Skybound IP such as The Walking Dead and Invincible. Additionally, he oversees a slate of original indie games from new and emerging developers, including story development for the massively interactive live event experience The Walking Dead: Last Mile, created in partnership with Genvid, Pipeworks, and Facebook. He is best known for his work as Narrative Lead and Co-Writer of Mortal Kombat 11, MK11: Aftermath, and Injustice 2 for NetherRealm Studios & WB Games. He is also the co-creator of Heart Attack, an original comic book series about love, resistance, and superpowers, published by Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment. Other published works include the Hunter: Call of the Wild for Avalanche Studios, Savage Game for Amazon/ComiXology, DC Legends for WB Games, and Mortal Kombat X for DC Comics. Kittelsen began his career as a development executive for DC Entertainment on titles such as Batman: Arkham City, DC Universe Online, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, and Injustice: Gods Among Us. He has also directed global games marketing campaigns, managed an independent podcast network, and shared his personal journey as an adoptee on the TLC series Long Lost Family.
