Calle left academia in 2008 after completing a computer graphics PhD to join the illustrious ranks of game developers. He spent most of his early career working on graphics or low-level systems programming on various in-house engines. He can now best be described as a recovering graphics programmer who (he'd like to think) occasionally has some passably good ideas. He still very much enjoys programming and making nice, fast, and tight code. He prefers to not write about himself in the third person.
