Coming from a music background as most in the field, Simon Lindskog started out with the ambition to become a studio engineer. However, in his later years as a student in northern Sweden, he became more interested in computers. This, combined with his love (or obsession?) for games, provided a very obvious path for him. He quickly realized he had a massive interest for how games work, and started to learn about Unreal and Unity. In 2013, Simon’s dream came true when he got hired as a Quality Analyst for the DICE audio team for ‘Battlefield 4’. His technical skills were quickly recognized and he soon became one of the technical sound designers, working mostly with designing systems and technology for sound to live in. Now, 5 years later, he is still on that journey with no end in sight!
