As a former research associate, Gerrit Lochmann has gained in-depth experience in the diverse fields of computer graphics, image processing, and VR-based training applications. Looking for new challenges, he is pushing forward the future of in-car entertainment technology as Lead Software Engineer of holoride’s Elastic SDK. His work enables content creators to build procedural location-based VR experiences with ease. Prior to holoride, Gerrit has worked at RE'FLEKT where he participated in the widely received VR projects "EU Saves Lives - Roadshow" and “The Cologne Dome in 360°” which won him a Grimme Online award. Gerrit holds a Ph.D. in Informatics and has published numerous scientific papers and journal articles in collaboration with different professorial chairs as well as the Max-Planck-Institute for Informatics.
Gerrit resides in Viersen, Germany, is happily married and father of two sons.
