With 16 years of experience in game physics R&D, game engine development and AAA game content production. Nan Ma specializes in commercialization of cutting-edge technology all the way from concept stages through to production of a final product. As a Senior Engine Developer at Lightspeed Studios, he worked closely with academic researchers and tech engineers across multiple tech fields to leverage emerging techs and physics simulation to build high fidelity, compute-efficient and robust solution package/pipeline to upgrade the existing game engine tech. Before joining Lightspeed Studios, Nan founded Future Immersive, which is an VR interactive content studio based in Toronto. There he led a talented team to create first high fidelity, multiplayer VR naval combat game on the market, Furious Seas, which won GDC 2018 Best in Play Award. Nan also spent his early career years at Rockstar Games as a Game Physics Programmer, where he made contributions to their critically acclaimed titles, Max Payne 3, Grand Theft Auto 5 and early stage of Red Dead Redemption 2
