Liana MacKenzie, Owner and Lead Designer, Valorous Games, LLC
Liana MacKenzie is the head of the indie studio Valorous Games and co-creator of Valor: the Heroic Roleplay system. A transgender woman based out of Seattle, Washington, she oversees the entire process of all Valorous Games projects from design to funding to manufacturing, all the while balancing it with a day job outside the industry. Liana grew up designing tabletop roleplaying games for fun and that passion only grew as she got older. Valor began as a project with her then-roommate in college, and blossomed into a full commercial hardcover release in 2015. Liana continues to work with Valor, writing new books to expand the system and tell interesting stories. She additionally serves as a host for the Asians Represent podcast, which helps promote Asian voices in tabletop RPGs and other media.
