Ifigeneia Mavridou (PhD) is the Research Consultancy Manager and Lead Affect Engineer in XR at Emteq Labs. Dr. Ifi Mavridou specializes in wearable affective computing in VR & XR, machine learning, signal processing and empirical experimental design. Her doctorate thesis was based on detecting arousal and valence (emotional) states via novel integrated physiological wearable sensors in Virtual Reality settings, combining VR and affective computing research. Since 2020, Ifi has been leading the Affect Research team at emteq labs, while consulting on numerous commercial and academic XR-related projects, and acting as the product owner of the EmteqVR, emteqPro, SuperVision systems. Since 2015 she has been an invited speaker at numerous events and has authored multiple high-impact articles on HCI, affective computing, and wearable sensing.
