Alexis Miller is Director of Product Management of Schell Games, where she supports strategic decision-making around original IP games using analytics and player insights. She excels at implementing complex projects and leading strategy through quantitative and qualitative data-based decision-making. Alexis has worked in product management for 7 years, starting in the health insurance industry where she was first introduced to Schell Games and transformational gaming. At UPMC, she worked as a product manager for three consumer-facing mobile apps, including a mobile app game (created with Schell Games) that promoted healthy habits such as weight loss, stress management, and smoking cessation. Prior experience included teaching English in Japan, a project manager and technical writer in a health economics and analytics department, as well as 6+ years working in the nonprofit and human services sectors. Alexis was a “40 Under 40” winner, a “UPMC Dignity and Respect Champion” award winner, and received an honorable mention for the Association for Community Affiliated Plans’ “Making a Difference Award,” among other honors. Alexis currently serves as immediate past president of the board of Construction Junction as well as a director on the board of People’s Oakland (a mental health organization). In her spare time, Alexis is a partner/owner/landlord of the real estate business Red House Realty PGH, LLC. Past volunteer positions have included president of the Polish Hill Civic Association, founding board member of City of Bridges Community Land Trust and Advisory Board member for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s First Night. Alexis has a Master’s of Science in Public Policy and Management degree with a policy analysis focus from Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University and completed her BA at the University of Pittsburgh with dual majors of German and Journalism. She is a proud alumnus of the AmeriCorps Public Allies program and Leadership Pittsburgh’s Leadership Development Initiative XVI.
