Nathan is kanaka Hawaiʻi from the kingdom of Hawaiʻi. He is a founding member of Studio Moeā, Programmer, kiaʻi ʻāina (protector of the land) and Teacher as well. Nathan has a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science. His main interest is to re-purpose technology to benefit his culture. Some of Nathans projects include: the first video game accessible in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian language), a mobile game for iOS and Android which is under the influence of sustainable fishing practices in Hawaiʻi, a native Hawaiian plant ID app, and a transpiler for the Hawaiian language to the C# programming language. Nathan is a proud father and soon to be husband. He has a passion to perpetuate the Hawaiian language and culture in any way possible. Nathan has a garden of his own in which he has many native Hawaiian plants that are used in Lāʻau Lapaʻau (Hawaiian Plant Medicine). He also enjoy fishing, spearfishing, surfing, and skateboarding.
