George NgChief Technology OfficerGGWP

Dr. George Ng is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at GGWP. GGWP aims to democratize positive play using technology. Previously George was Co-Founder and CTO for Cyence, a cyber risk modeling company. In 3 years, George helped grow the Cyence engineering and product team from 0 to 100. Cyence was acquired by Guidewire Software, an insurtech company for 275 million. At Guidewire, George was Chief Data Officer. Prior to entrepreneurial work, George was the Chief Data Scientist at Cray Supercomputer where he worked on analytic problems in cybersecurity, defense, financial services, healthcare, professional sports and other domains. George also worked as a Data Scientist at several government agencies including the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) where he built terrorism models and created cyber threat signatures. George has previously taught classes at the University of California, Berkeley, American University and the University of California, Irvine including Machine Learning, Economic System Design, Microeconomics, Statistics and Probability, Behavioral Economics, and Game Theory. He was also Visiting Research Faculty at Chapman University, where he ran an Experimental Economics research lab.  George received a PhD from UCI and a BA from UC Berkeley, both in Economics. He is affiliated with the D-Lab, Economics Department, College of Engineering and School of Public Health at UC Berkeley.
