Amir RahimiSVP & GMFoxNext

Amir serves as head of FoxNext Game’s in-house studio, overseeing development for the studio’s hit debut title MARVEL Strike Force and an upcoming strategy RPG based on James Cameron’s Avatar. Amir’s career in games spans from AAA game maker, making key contributions to some of the most popular RTS titles ever made, to entrepreneur in mobile and social games. Most recently, he served as VP and GM of Kabam’s LA studio Aftershock prior to its acquisition by FoxNext Games. Prior to that, he co-founded mobile game company TapZen, makers of This Means War! for iOS and Android, then helped engineer the company’s acquisition by Kabam in 2014. Before that, he served as GM at Zynga, where he worked on Coasterville and Empires & Allies. Amir began his career in games in QA at EA, working on Command & Conquer Generals. He worked as a producer on the Command & Conquer 3 and The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth 1 & 2. He also collaborated with Steven Spielberg and oversaw the launch of EA’s Boom Blox franchise. Boom Blox won several industry awards including a VGA and a Bafta, and was included in the Smithsonian’s “Art of Video Games” exhibit.
