Heli is a costume designer, educator and researcher specializing in digital costumes for video games, animation and VR. She has dressed physical and digital bodies for 37 productions from stage to screen including Remedy Entertainments' Control and Crossfire II and an international, cloud native AAA production yet to be released. Heli currently educates a new generation of digital costume and fashion designers at the Victoria University of Wellington and works as a Character Designer for "Shadow Work", a Wellington based video game funded by the NZ Film Commission.
In GDC 2019, she presented her costume work on Control (Remedy Entertainment, 2019) and continued sharing her research on the benefits of integrating costume design methods into game character development at conferences and events until this day.
