Gustav SeymoreCreative Director & Head of StudioOuterdawn

Grew up in South Africa and with no imaginable options of getting into video games ended up with ambitions of studying architecture then became a city planner. However through luck and friendship found his way to help build and run a startup indie games studio with a lot of passion and little knowledge. 4 Years later he found himself at Gameloft New Zealand as the principle producer on their flagship titles with over 200 team members. He then joined Outsmart as the Head of Design for a new midcore mobile indie title published by DeNA called Bloodgate. It is around this time that he started developing the ideas for Goblins of Elderstone. In 2016 He launched the most successful video game Kickstarter to come out of New Zealand. He built a small team and was one of the final games to make it through greenlight on steam and this was also the first expo of the game at PAX Australia. The following years Goblins of Elderstone went through many trials and challenges, changing publishers and investors more than once and constantly having to fight for its survival. During this time Gustav worked as senior designer for Climax Studios and then as Game Design Lecturer at Media Design School before accepting the role as Studio Manager and then also Creative Director at Outerdawn where he has been for the last 4 years. Outerdawn adopted Goblins of Elderstone in 2019 where it now has a stable home to be completed.
