Matt started out as an animator in the games industry over 20 years ago. As real-time platforms became more capable he was drawn towards character technology, fuelled by a desire to push the limits of what was achievable.
As Technical Art Director at Ninja Theory, Matt helped redefine expectations around what a ‘game’ could be, and for people to form a genuine emotional connection to digital characters by making them as believable as possible.
In 2021, Matt joined a team at Epic that are focused on building the technology, tooling, and workflows to make high-end, believable characters available to everyone from individuals to teams of all sizes.
