Jackie Tancredi, Interactive Developer, IGDA Child Safety SIG Co-Chair
Jackie Tancredi (they/them) is a game designer, developer, and community manager specializing in virtual companions in VR and MR. They currently serve as the Community Manager at Windup Minds, working on Stay: Forever Home. With a strong background in the gaming industry, Jackie previously worked at Meta Reality Labs in the VR space, bringing expertise in immersive experiences. Before that, they were a web designer at Harvard and a digital developer at the Museum of Science, Boston.Beyond their work in game development, Jackie is a passionate advocate for child safety in digital spaces. They are one of the founding leaders of the IGDA Child Safety SIG, an initiative aimed at creating an open-source repository of resources and discussions to make digital environments safer for children. Their work focuses on ethical design, user protection, and fostering safer online communities.Jackie is based in Massachusetts and is open to connecting with anyone who shares the same goals of building a safer digital future.
