Nihal Tharoor is CEO and co-founder of ElectricNoir – a BAFTA-nominated London-based game studio creating a mobile interactive entertainment platform. Their flagship series, Dead Man's Phone, is an interactive crime drama where you, the detective, investigate and solve murders through the smartphone of victims. Nihal is chief writer and narrative designer on season 1 of Dead Man's Phone, which explores hidden issues of race in modern Britain. Under Nihal's leadership, ElectricNoir closed a $2.5M seed round of venture capital in July 2021. Investors include the founder of Unity, David Helgasson, and the founder of Twitch, Kevin Lin. Nihal has been spotlighted in Ensemble – a Mayor of London initiative that platforms BAME talent in the UK games industry. Prior to founding ElectricNoir, Nihal worked as a copywriter in advertising, alongisde co-founder Benedict Tatham.
