David Tisserand, Director, Accessibility, Ubisoft
As the driving force behind Ubisoft’s accessibility initiatives, David Tisserand founded the company’s accessibility team in 2017, starting as a task force and growing into a comprehensive division. As Director of Accessibility, David ensures that accessibility is embedded into Ubisoft’s DNA, delivering a seamless and inclusive experience for players—from the moment they first hear about a game through marketing or events, to when they complete their gameplay experience. His work initially focused on integrating accessibility into the game development process to meet specific standards and has since expanded across all Ubisoft teams and services, including customer support, websites and apps, and community collaboration. David focuses on creating efficiency by leveraging advancements in Ubisoft’s proprietary engines and middleware while also developing workshops and trainings to empower Ubisoft employees to champion accessibility on their own teams. He also fosters collaboration with the disabled player community, organizing accessible design workshops and incorporating user feedback to refine both digital and physical experiences at Ubisoft.
