Mathew Varghese, Machine Learning Research Engineer, Activision (Microsoft)
Mathew Varghese is a Machine Learning Research Engineer at Activision and a member of Call of Duty’s Ricochet Anti-cheat team. His expertise lies in applying machine learning, signal processing, and statistics to gameplay data to detect anomalous player behavior. He has presented his work with Activision at five venues so far and has contributed to the open-source Caldera dataset published by Activision at SIGGRAPH 2024. Mathew is entrepreneurial and loves attending startup pitch competitions and hackathons.
