Liam Wong, Visual Director, UNSEEN Inc.
Liam Wong is a Scottish Director, Game Art Director, and Photographer based in Tokyo, Japan. He is the author of best-selling books "TO:KY:OO" and "AFTER DARK." Currently, he is working on unannounced projects in film, video games, and photography. Originally from Scotland, Wong moved over three thousand miles from home, early in his career and became the youngest director at the world's largest game studio and featured in Forbes 30 Under 30. With over a decade in the industry, he has contributed to blockbuster FPS franchises like Crysis as a Lead and Far Cry as a Director. He spent six years as Senior Art Director at Ubisoft Montréal, shaping AAA games. In 2019, Wong shifted to freelance work in film, video games, and photography with his immense passion for designing and directing visual identities. In parallel with video games, he began learning photography and has been featured on platforms such as Adobe, BBC, Canon, CNN, The Guardian, Forbes, Sony and displayed in museums such as the V&A. His debut photo book, "TO:KY:OO", became the largest crowdfunded book in the UK, with a foreword by Hideo Kojima and Syd Mead. His second book, "AFTER DARK", broke the previous crowdfunding record. In 2021, he joined Ikumi Nakamura's studio UNSEEN and helped create it from its inception. He contributes as Visual Director for the studio.
