Bingjie Yu is a computational social scientist studying mediating technologies and game communities. Her recent research focuses on using care-as-nurture as a lens to explore the hybridity of game communities, especially what we can learn from cross-cultural perspectives. Bingjie is currently a UX Researcher in Communities at the Thunderfire UX Uer Experience Center, and holds a Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), from the University of Bath, U,K,. In her research, she employs both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to inform normative processes and practices in global game communities, with the overall goal to help social interaction through games in a positive way.
