The theme for this year’s IGDA Analytics and Data Science roundtable is “growth” and we talk about what it means to get better at games analytics. First discussed is personal development as analysts, grinding our skills from students to distinguished thought leaders. Next, the discussion moves to how to improve the level of your analytics team, increasing both sophistication and impact on the game. Finally, the floor is open to discuss the trajectory of our field as a whole, how it's progressed so far and what the next generation of games analytics will be.

Takeaway

Attendees of the Analytics and Data Science roundtable will leave with a broader understanding of the role data currently plays in the games industry and a variety of perspectives on where the field should be going.

Intended Audience

The intended audience for this session includes those who currently work with data in games, those who want to partner more closely with data practitioners, and those who wish to join the field.
