The annual BIPOC Games Studies Conference is gearing up for its next release, and we’re looking for collaborators, input and leaders. BIPOC Game Studies is a unique space where peer-reviewed research meets raw industry experience, tackling everything from decolonizing game design and Afrofuturism to digital heritage and social activism. We’re moving beyond representation as a buzzword and into representation as a mechanic, bringing together leaders from academia and the studio floor to explore the intersection of culture, tech, and the BIPOC experience.

To make the next conference our Gold Master version, we invite your input to map the quest ahead. This interactive planning session will focus on bridging the gap between academic research and industry application, brainstorming the next Game Showcase, and expanding our community network. Whether you’re an academic pushing the boundaries of game studies, a student looking to break in, or a veteran dev interested in social impact, join us to help shape a roadmap that fosters visibility, education, and—most importantly—play. Let’s build something that matters.
