Bots & Brains at Work: The Science of Leading in the Age of AI

Scott Crabtree  (Chief Happiness Officer, Happy Brain Science)
Track: Production & Team Leadership, Culture & Sustainability
Audience Level: All
Format: Workshop
Vault Recording: TBD
Audience Level: All
AI is transforming how we work faster than most videogame teams can absorb. This research-grounded, hands-on workshop will cut through the hype to deliver what leaders need: practical, neuroscience-based tools for leading through change with confidence, and for harnessing human and AI strengths together to achieve what neither can do alone. The session will work through themes such as:
* Evolve your leadership identity--because how leaders think of themselves and their role needs to change in the age of AI.
* Foster emotional safety and trust--how emotional intelligence, psychological safety, and more can help people feel better, so they can work better in this time of uncertainty and change
* Orchestrate humans and AIs--everyone on your team is a manager now, because they are managing AIs. Work through how you can get the best from both humans and AIs.

Takeaway

Attendees will leave with new ways of thinking of their role and identity as a leader in the age of AI, ways of boosting psychological safety and trust so teams work better, and actionable tools for getting the best from AIs and people working together, including the CRAFT prompting framework.

Intended Audience

This session will be helpful to anyone in videogame development, and especially for HR as well as official and unofficial leaders who are guiding others into the age of AI. No prerequisites needed. All are welcome.
