Students often ask themselves the question, "How do I get experience?". This session examines how four students: tech artist Mikyle Mosquera, designer Lance Haugh, and producers Hudson Janow and Isabel Merced Galindo, identified gaps in their communities, education, or career development pathways, and built solutions that ultimately accelerated their growth and helped them prepare for and land their first jobs in AAA. This talk seeks to reshape the question into something more actionable: "What opportunities can I create for myself and those around me?"
Takeaway
Attendees should leave motivated to recognize unmet needs in their own communities, ways they can transform obstacles into opportunities, and unafraid to develop meaningful experience without waiting for permission.
Intended Audience
This session is primarily intended for early career/students. However, lessons apply broadly to anyone seeking to further their career and professional development.
