To craft an immersive romance, Love and Deepspace relies on cinematic, film-quality cutscenes—delivered within the relentless pace of live-service development. Our core challenge was building a pipeline flexible enough to support artists from film, games, and animation backgrounds, yet streamlined to eliminate friction and technical overhead. Empowering a team of over 100 artists to focus on storytelling, not troubleshooting, has been the backbone of Love and Deepspace's consistent content delivery—leading to award-winning success and over 70 million players worldwide.
This session unpacks our evolving cutscene pipeline—how raw scripts become polished performances with specialized tools, how we standardized collaboration between writers, mocap, and animators to bring AAA storytelling to mobile, and the challenges and solutions that kept our creative momentum high and console-quality experience achievable.

Takeaway

Attendees will learn how Love and Deepspace scaled film-level cutscenes for mobile by keeping creative intent independent from engine tech, giving artists real-time control, and automating review. Discover how custom tools and smart workflow let over 100 artists deliver award-winning narrative at live-service speed.

Intended Audience

This talk is for studio leads, artists, engineers, and project managers interested in scaling narrative pipelines, art-tech collaboration, and delivering cinematic content efficiently without blocking creativity.
