In our session, ‘Developing Supports for Queer Game Developers’, the LGBTQ+ SIG will discuss the current issues facing queer game developers in the USA and internationally, offering strategies for how networks of support can be built and supported to push against and overcome them. The session will be divided between a presentation and open discussion, providing opportunities for attendees to learn about various advocacy organisations and effective strategies, along with a space to voice their own personal experiences and opinions on best practice. It is requested that no photos or videos are taken during the session.

Takeaway

Attendees will come away from our session with an understanding of issues facing queer game developers both nationally and internationally, and a developed knowledge of strategies for community building in the game industry.
