Join host of the AIAS Game Makers Notebook podcast, Trent Kusters (League of Geeks), as he chats with Amir Rao, co-founder and studio director of Supergiant Games, developer of indie classics Bastion, Transistor, Pyre, and of course, Hades I & II.

In this intimate conversation, Trent and Amir will discuss Supergiant's impressive portfolio of indie classics, the design and narrative innovations that led to Hades redefining the roguelike, and how Amir and the team at Supergiant succeeded in the enormous challenge of delivering a sequel worthy of Hades' immense success.

An interestingly unique and at the same time familiar studio in the indie landscape, Trent and Amir will also discuss some of Supergiant's leadership and production philosophies that have forged one of the most critically, culturally, and commercially successful independent videogame studios of our time.

Takeaway

All attendees will leave with a stronger understanding of the design philosophies behind Supergiant's games, especially the Hades series, and a glimpse into the studio and leadership philosophies that underpin Supergiant Games' success.

Intended Audience

Whilst many of the topics will cover design and studio leadership, this fireside chat is intended for all audiences, especially fans of Supergiant Games' impressive portfolio of work.
