We presented at GDC 2025 and gave an overview between the differences in the working environment and company culture between Japan and the West. This is a follow-up panel that focuses on practical advice for raising the listeners' chances at being hired in Japan.

The main points will discuss what Japanese companies look at when they screen applications, what they look for in portfolios, and what questions are commonly asked during interviews.

We encourage all attendees with an interest in applying for jobs in Japan to check out the panel! Of course, some aspects will also be applicable to those searching for jobs in other countries as well.
