Ensuring games are available across multiple platforms is increasingly essential in an age where game budgets and competition for player attention continues to cinrease. However, this creates issues when trying to port assets between platforms with large variations in specification.
The team behind PC and Mobile hit Delta Force have created tools and processes that dramatically speak up the coversion of assets from PC to mobile, without impact to visible asset quality, game performance and without needing a large increase in project staff.

Takeaway

Attendees will learn about the key artistic and technical points involved in maintaining quality and importing character model assets across PC and mobile. They will learn how to set up asset pipelines, set up quality control mechanisms and how to accurately optimize and adapt to the differences between PC and mobile games, and ensure that the 3D character assets perform well on both platforms.

Intended Audience

The intended audience primarily includes game art developers in the industry including, but not limited to, 2D character artists, 3D character artists, 3D character technical artists, and animators. It will prove especially useful to develoers working on cross-platform projects.
