Memorable video game performances don't begin in the recording booth. They begin when a team starts building their worlds and when they start piecing together the characters that will bring their world to life. Drawing from 20 years as the Senior Casting & Voice Director at Blizzard Entertainment, Andrea will take attendees behind the scenes on the recording process that brought games like World of WarCraft, Diablo and Overwatch to life. She will focus on how early brainstorming, thoughtful character development and strategic planning can turn even a two-line script into a memorable moment.

Takeaway

Andrea will be sharing the key building blocks that lead to memorable performances. Collaborative and exploratory processes will be discussed for all key steps in the VO recording process; from early character brainstorming to creating a fun and exciting recording environment…all in service to the story.

Intended Audience

This session is designed for game developers, writers, narrative designers, directors, producers, audio professionals and anyone involved in bringing characters to life. Attendees interested in strengthening character development, casting and performance will benefit from the presentation. No previous voice-over or casting experience is required.
