Aurelia Augusta is the President of United Videogame Workers - CWA. Elected as the first President in 2025, Aurelia works as part of UVW to advocate for game workers across the US and Canada as the organization pushes for better layoff protections, a Game Worker’s Bill of Rights, improved labour conditions, and increased worker power. Prior to this, Aurelia worked as a Producer at Ivy Road Studios on the game Wanderstop and as a founding engineer of the content moderation team at Twitch.tv. Outside of games, Aurelia has been a tech policy academic at Carnegie Mellon University specialized in the safety of marginalized groups online, a product manager overseeing code repositories at GitHub, and a software engineer across a variety of different tech companies including Snowflake Computing. They hold a Bachelor’s and Master's in Computer Science from Harvard University, and a Master’s in Societal Computing from Carnegie Mellon University.
