Iain Dodgeon is Director of OKRE (Opening Knowledge across Research and Entertainment), a new charity and global hub of expertise bringing together the research, entertainment, and social impact sectors. A former medical doctor and producer with over fifteen years' experience with the entertainment industries, he previously led Wellcome's work in broadcast, games and film. He pioneered its work with the games industry, supporting the development of many multi-award-winning games that engaged people with ideas in science and health, including 5-BAFTA winning Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and advising on the creation of Cannes Lions-winning citizen science game, Sea Hero Quest. Their programme of industry collaboration includes the Wellcome Screenwriting Fellowship in partnership with BFI and Film4, The Big Data VR Challenge with Epic Games, and Experimental Stories with BBC Radio 4.
