Earl Hammon, Principal Rendering Engineer, Roblox
Earl has spent the last 25 years shipping fast, high-quality games enjoyed by hundreds of millions of players around the world. He has contributed to all areas of a game engine, from shading models to collision detection, from content pipelines to multithreading systems, from UI to compression, and more. He enjoys using low-level knowledge to get the most out of a game engine and give players the best possible experience; once he even edited an exe in a binary editor to create an emergency patch! Before entering the games industry, he earned an MSEE degree from Stanford University, then taught electrical engineering at his undergraduate school, the University of Tulsa.
