Stephen Jacobs started in Open Source as a game professor running a class on educational game development for the One Laptop Per Child platform in 2009. He currently directs RIT's Open Programs Office and RIT's Immersion and Minor in Free and Open Source Software and Free Culture. He teaches courses in in Humanitarian Free and Open Source Software, Game Design and a study abroad course on the Japanese Games Industry. He’s been a founder or executive committee member of five IGDA SIGS and is a Lifetime Member. He serves as Scholar-in-Residence for The Strong National Museum of Play.
